Our Story

Established in 1875, The Lucas Farm was purchased by Dr. George Lucas and has been cared for by our family since. Originally a tobacco farm, the crop land has been converted into 450 acres of longleaf pine stands in Currie, NC. We have been privileged to host several movies, the most well-known being the 1990’s film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

In 2019, David Lucas Jones and wife Rebecca began the journey of refurbishing the farmhouse, ham house, barn, and schoolhouse. After over 2 years of extensive work, we are proud to offer this picturesque and serene establishment to host your dream wedding or special occasion.
